Our methylene blue is labeled ‘for research purposes only’ to comply with regulatory requirements and maintain transparency. While we go to great lengths to ensure our methylene blue meets or exceeds USP rigorous standards, in the USA, methylene blue alone can not be marketed as a dietary supplement. Thus, the research label serves as a reminder that methylene blue should be used responsibly.
Individual responses to Methylene Blue can vary. We suggest starting low, researching common dosages, using personal judgment, and consulting your primary care physician to determine the optimal approach for your specific needs.
Interactions with Methylene Blue are rare at doses below 0.5mg/kg. However, it’s essential to understand that Methylene Blue can elevate serotonin and dopamine levels. Therefore, you should avoid using Methylene Blue if you take supplements or medications that impact these neurotransmitters, including but not limited to specific antidepressants like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), MAO inhibitors, or antipsychotic drugs. Such interactions can lead to a condition known as serotonin syndrome.
USP stands for the United States Pharmacopeia. It is a nonprofit organization that establishes and publishes stringent standards for the quality, purity, strength, and consistency of drugs, dietary supplements, and other healthcare products in the United States. These standards, known as monographs, provide guidelines for the formulation, manufacturing, and testing protocols of pharmaceuticals and related products.
Pharmaceutical-grade substance refers to any active or inactive drug, biologic, reagent, or similar material produced by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This substance must be approved, conditionally approved, or indexed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or for which adhere to a chemical purity standard established by a recognized compendium, such as the United States Pharmacopeia-National Formulary (USP/NF) or the British Pharmacopoeia (BP).
We allocate a distinct batch number to our vials, serving as a unique identifier for each new Methylene Blue batch. Upon receiving a new batch from our supplier, we promptly forward it to our partnered lab for a fresh Certificate of Analysis (COA) to maintain stringent quality control. To verify, you can match the batch number on the vial with the corresponding COA provided with your order.
Our mist sprayer dispenses 0.20 mL per pump. When you purchase the Methylene Blue kit, you’ll receive a dilution chart that presents the mg/Per Pump ratios, enabling a straightforward comparison with the provided dilution percentages in the chart.
Every new batch we acquire from our supplier undergoes separate testing and is accompanied by an individual Certificate of Analysis (COA). This COA is part of your purchase and can be readily authenticated by referencing the batch number printed on the vial’s label.
The reason behind this is the recent adjustment made by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) in the Residue on Ignition (ROI) limit. The previous ROI limit was 1.2%, but it has now been significantly lowered to a maximum allowance of 0.15%. When methylene blue meets this new ROI requirement set by USP, MB can’t contain levels of metals that would exceed the older maximum limits. To avoid testing redundancy, the USP has removed the old testing requirements of arsenic, copper, and zinc in the 2023 monograph.
Follow these steps to remove stains from your hands or solid surfaces effectively.
1)Rubbing Alcohol: Start by dampening a cloth, sponge, or cotton ball with isopropyl rubbing alcohol, easily found at most grocery stores or online. Next, gently rub the affected area with the dampened material
2)Additional Tip: For particularly stubborn stains on the skin, consider using a combination of rubbing alcohol followed by hand soap. This two-step approach tends to be the most effective in removing stains from the hands & body
There are 1000 mg per vial
Begin by adding Methylene Blue to 8oz of water. For every 10 mg of MB, follow these steps:
Add 1.2 grams (about l1/4 tsp) of plain vitamin C powder.
Stir occasionally for 10 to 15 minutes or until the dark blue color turns a faint light blue.
To reduce bitterness, add 1/2 gram (about 1/8 tsp) of potassium bicarbonate powder. Stir and enjoy.
